The following fields of interest have indirect connections with the Brotherhood of Ruralists and may appeal to many of the Ruralists’ followers. Emily Ovenden Emily, daughter of Graham and Annie Ovenden is a versatile singer, actress and writer with many strings to her bow. Visit Emily's myuspace page to find out about her current projects. Brian and Wendy Froud Brian Froud is a painter and Wendy Froud a sculptress, both producing work inspired by the fairy-world. Brian and Wendy Froud have both exhibited with the Ruralists on several occasions. The Frouds’ “official” website is a delight! Lewis Carroll The author of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland is one of many writers who have been a source of inspiration for the Ruralists. The Lewis Carroll Society website is worth a visit. www.lewiscarrollsociety.org.uk Roger Moss Roger Moss is a photographer and graphic designer. He has worked closely with Graham Ovenden and Annie Ovenden on a number of occasions and has exhibited with the Ruralists. Victor Arwas Victor Arwas was a patron, friend and strong supporter of the Ruraists who, sadly, passed away in 2010. The Edition Graphique gallery in London, run by the art expert and author has shown Ruralist works in the past. Specialising in Art Nouveau and Art Deco sculpture, graphics, jewellery and paintings, the gallery and website were always worth a visit. Although we believe the business has now closed, we will leave the link here a little longer as the gallery site has some information about Victor and his work. Catherine Kingcome Catherine Kingcome exhibited with the Ruralists at their Alice exhibition on 1990. Joanne Harris One of the world's favourite contemporary writers - had written about and spoken on the work of the Ruralists. Rosemary Lane Stuart Buchanan chronicles the changing seasons and unhurried village life at his country Cottage down Rosemary Lane on the Isle of Wight. This has a very "ruralist" feel to it for many reasons and is well worth a visit. Christopher Paris A landscape artist whose work might appeal to anyone who like the work of the Ruralists.
